A study on Minimal Learning Model for Mind Wandering Judgement System of Online Learner

In this study, we define minimal learning model, and develop minimal learning judgement system of online learner. this system consists of mind wandering judgement system and automatic words generation system.

A Comparative Analysis of Learning Factors through Online Learning and Social Learning

In this study, a social learning platform was developed to comparative analyze factors of learning on social learning and online learning. English class also had carried out for four weeks at women's middle school based on a web-based learning platform. Vocabulary test and satisfaction survey were conducted in classes. In result of satisfaction survey, satisfaction of learning between social learning and online learning has no significant difference. In result of analysis through factors of learning, personal learning motivation was analyzed as an important factor in satisfaction and learning outcomes regardless of the learning platforms. We offer that learning motivation is more important factor of learning rather than learning platforms.

A study on factor analysis to support knowledge based decisions for a smart class

A smart class provides an environment that enables collaboration, sharing, and participation between teachers and students. Thanks to the great attention paid to the smart class idea, with a view to providing effective and efficient learning for students, many state-of-the-art technologies have been applied to the field of education. However, simple infrastructure construction and the introduction of state-of-the-art technology have many limitations in obtaining the desired effects of a smart class. This study aims to discover the important elements that allow a smart class to achieve positive effects in education and to support the design and application of a smart class based on the derived elements. In the study, an integrated teaching and learning assistance system was applied to a smart class. A smart class environment was constructed that was applied and test operated in an elementary school for 4 weeks. Through the test operation of the smart class, the important elements of an effective smart class were determined to be system playfulness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward class.

A Study on Effectiveness of Smart Classrooms through Interaction Analysis

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of the Smart Classrooms through interaction analysis of the given classroom. For an effective analysis, 5th graders in an elementary school had participated, the teacher had taught the same class twice, once in the traditional teaching and learning method, and the second class was carried out with the smart devices and smart teaching and learning methods applied from the ITLA System. Based on Flanders's Interaction Analysis Category System, interaction between teacher and students were analyzed. The results of the experiments showed, Teacher's indirection ratio and teacher’s question ratio were shown higher in Smart Classroom than non-system classroom. On the other hand, students' talk ratio was shown almost the same. Teacher's lecture ratio was analyzed at a lower frequency within the Smart Classroom than the non-system classroom. Therefore, Smart Classrooms proved more indirect class than non-system classroom. Finally, we can refer that Smart Classrooms have more positive effects on education than traditional classroom.

Development of Web-based Learning Content Authoring Tool for Teacher

The increasing convergence of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and education are required for new learning contents. However, it is difficult to create learning contents, because skills in authoring are required to create the learning contents. In this study, in order to create learning contents easily by the teacher, a web-based learning content authoring tool (WebCAT) was developed for this purpose. WebCAT consists of; generating, authoring, exporting, and management. Thus, created learning contents will be able to use on a variety of devices because it provides one-source multi devices using HTML5 contents. In order to evaluate the developed WebCAT, a satisfaction survey was developed and conducted for preliminary teachers. The results showed a 'generally satisfied' level with four points.

An Integrated Teaching and Learning Assistance System Meeting Requirements for Smart Education

There have been numerous attempts to heighten the effects of education over the course of history. Currently, many relevant studies are being carried out on such issues as utilization of recently developed Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for education, which has become a global topic; efforts are being put into this movement at the national level. However, the systems to assist the efforts are not yet sufficient. Through this research, in this light, the Structured Plug-in Integrated Teaching and Learning Assistance System was developed, which aims to achieve affirmative results from ICT on education. This system can provide the instructor, learner, and their parents with a real-time monitoring system, intelligent tutoring system, collaborative education mechanism, e-Portfolio system, and digital material production method. Further, the system can be realized in the form of a Structured Plug-in. The system has been used in six classes of 219 fourth-year students in Korean elementary schools to analyze the system’s effects. In doing so, a questionnaire was developed and carried out on the students after the testing period. According to the results, the overall satisfaction level was 4.067 and the level of satisfaction on the content quality was 3.99, referring to ‘satisfaction’.

A Study on Effectiveness of Smart Education Class for Preliminary Teacher

A Syllabus for 'Smart Education' was designed and applied to university in Korea during two semesters to enhance preliminary teacher's skills. After two semesters, the syllabus was verified through attitude and quality. The result showed that the syllabus effectiveness is total 89.6 points as positive outcomes.

A Conceptual Model of Smart Education Considering Teaching-Learning Activities and Learner’s Characteristics

Advanced ICT(Information and Communication Technology) and popularization of smart devices change our culture as well as our life style and it has changed the way of learning in education area. There have been some researches to make effective smart education systems based on ICT but few of them were designed by a solid concept of smart education. This is because there have been few researches on developing a conceptual model for smart education. The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual model for smart education: CTLA(Creation, Teaching, Learning and Assessment) model. It includes activities of smart creation, smart teaching, smart learning, and smart assessment considering ICT environment for education and characteristics of digital natives.
